Caramel Chicken

Minh Boyle

This is an original recipe invented by Minh Boyle, whose cooking is influenced by Vietnamese and French cuisines. It is a delicious meal and is a highly requested dish by both family and friends.

 

Ingredients

bullet

2 C of boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut up into ¼” slices

bullet

3 T soy sauce

bullet

1 T water

bullet

4 T unsalted butter

bullet

6 T garlic powder

bullet

4 tsp. light brown sugar

 

Directions

  1. Mix brown sugar and water in a frying pan on high heat. Cook until mixture is caramelized, but not burned.
  2. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic powder, and stir
  3. Add chicken and stir until thoroughly cooked
  4. Serve with rice
